Old Hebrew – Samson and Delilah

Detroit-born bass-baritone Joel Colman is making his operatic debut with the New Orleans Opera.  Joel has been the Cantor at the historic Congregation Temple Sinai on St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans for the past thirteen years.  He has sung in many concerts in New Orleans, New York, Atlanta, Toronto, Jerusalem, and Detroit.  Cantor Colman is a graduate of the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music, Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, where he received his master’s degree in Sacred Music.  Joel also serves as a Chaplain with the New Orleans Fire Department.
