ATTN: Ticket Holders for Porgy and Bess

We can’t wait to see you this weekend for Porgy and Bess at the Newman Bandstand in Audubon Park.

The opera begins at 7:30 pm and is SOLD OUT for both performances!

Your ticket was mailed to you about 3 weeks ago via USPS. Please bring the letter with you for the easiest and quickest entry to your seat. However, if you have misplaced the letter, we will still be able to check you in without it.

Audubon Park is located at 6500 Magazine St. with parking that is free and open to the public. Click here for directions to the Park.

Parking isavailable in the lot inside the Park, on the street, and in the Zoo lot. We have permission to park in the back lot for the Golf Club beginning at 6:15 PM. We advise you to arrive with enough time to find a parking space and walk to the Bandstand.

Please enter directly to the left of SHELTER 10 – see map link above (that is also where the public restrooms are housed.) You will see 2 check-in tables next to a big sign with our logo.

The Newman Bandstand is on the edge of the lagoon close to the parking lot on Magazine Street inside the Park. (See map link above.)

Seating is General Admission by Price Level. Chairs will be providedplease do not bring your own chairs. You will be given a color-coded sticker when you check in and there will be ushers inside to guide you to your matching color-coded section.

We will be following all COVID-19 protocols. A face mask is required while entering and exiting the Park and we respectfully ask you to socially distance yourselves by 6 feet from those not in your party. All guests will be required to complete a brief COVID screening upon entry.  The ticket holder will be the point of contact for any contact tracing required.

There will be no concessions sold at this performance.  You may bring your own; however, please be aware that no glass of any kind is allowed in the Park.

We will not hand out our traditional program book and encourage you all to visit our website for information on the cast and crew. (click here.)

The performances will continue regardless of rain showers. Please bring an umbrella or poncho if there is rain in the forecast.

We will have bug spray at the check-in table! The mosquitoes are out and seem to have enjoyed the rehearsal process very much.
