COVID-19 Updates (AUGUST 2021)
The City of New Orleans has implemented new rules and regulations for entertainment venues, indoor facilities, and large social gatherings. These rules allow for full capacity at New Orleans Opera performances. We must comply with these regulations to safely return to full capacity for the first time in more than a year and a half.
Vaccination and Testing
As required by the City of New Orleans, all guests ages 12 and older must provide evidence of 1) having received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine that has received full approval or emergency-use authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or the World Health Organization (WHO) or 2) evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken no more than 72 hours prior to entering the event.
Prior to entry, you may present your verified digital proof of vaccination (LA Wallet or other official government sanctioned app) or an original, digital photograph or photocopy (both sides) of your CDC vaccination card. You may also present an official vaccination record issued by another state, foreign nation, or WHO. In lieu of vaccination verification, you may also present a negative PCR test result that has been taken within the last 72 hours.
FREE vaccines are readily available at many area health centers and most major pharmacies.
