Safety at New Orleans Opera

As live performances return, your safety is our priority.

New Orleans Opera is fully committed to the health and safety of our entire family – our audience, our artists, our technicians, our administrative staff, and all of the communities we serve. (March 29, 2022)

What to expect at the theater:

New Orleans Opera requires all guests ages 5 and older to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken no more than 72 hours  (must also include the individual’s name, date of test, and results clearly visible on the official report). All individuals who are age 5+ must provide evidence of being fully vaccinated (having received two-doses of a two-dose vaccine series or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine), or provide evidence of a negative test taken within 72 hours prior to entry.

Additionally, facial masks, worn properly over the nose and mouth, will be required for all patrons for the duration of their time in the theater for as long as the community transmission requires it. Please note that bandanas, neck gaiters, and masks with exhalation valves are not accepted.

We will continue to review our policies on an ongoing basis to evolve with best practices around health and safety. Thank you for your cooperation during this unusual time, and thank you for your patronage of New Orleans Opera.
