Lisette Oropesa is one of the most in-demand lyric coloraturas today, who performs leading roles regularly at the most important opera houses around the world.
In planning this concert, Lisette is continuing her commitment to the next generation of opera stars who are discovered through the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont National Council Auditions, which was the competition that was instrumental in jumpstarting her career and “changing her life forever.” As the host of the 2020 Grand Finals, she made a financial commitment to support prize money for winners, and she has made that same commitment to advancement today by inviting recent winners to join her onstage in New Orleans for this concert.
