Founded in 1947, the Women’s Guild of the New Orleans Opera Association has an important marketing role in the success of opera in New Orleans. The Women’s Guild plans and executes events with the assistance of dedicated members who volunteer countless hours and share their expertise that continue the legacy of opera in New Orleans. Membership dues are $40 per year and include:

  • Attendance at the General Fall Meeting and Past President’s Reception
  • Attendance at the Eggnog Party and Holiday Boutique
  • Attendance at the Annual meeting and luncheon
  • Four Opera Orientations from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Opera Guild Home

    • Sunday, October 30, 2016: Macbeth
    • Sunday, January 29, 2017: Sweeney Todd
    • Sunday, March 19, 2017: Faust

Guild Fundraising Events

  • The elegant September Seduction gala on Friday, September 16, 2016 featuring live entertainment, fine cuisine and libations
  • The Mad Hatter’s Luncheon featuring cocktails, a silent auction, a raffle, a beautiful style show, lunch, and entertainment on Wednesday, March 22, 2017
